Annual Review Process
One of the fundamental tools in aligning resources with mission-critical priorities is our annual performance review to learn how schools, colleges and support units are leveraging their resources to achieve excellence, support quality and efficiency, and advance Temple’s mission.
Since FY2015 the annual conferences have provided an opportunity for units to share major accomplishments and initiatives across the university, as well as participate in our institutional planning process. In FY2020 our Middle States Visiting Team commended Temple for improved transparency of information, program and resource planning, and alignment with institutional and academic unit priorities. This process helps to provide evidence of connecting decisions with achieving Temple’s mission in measurable outcomes.
As a result of our continuous improvement efforts, the workbook templates for support units and revenue centers to submit in the fall focus on previous fiscal year outcomes and census metrics. Funding proposals and future fiscal year planning materials are submitted during the spring semester – Support Units are submitted to their cognizant officer in February and Schools/Colleges submit the strategic fund proposals in April.
