Vice President, CFO and Treasurer
David Marino serves as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Temple University, a role he has held since joining the institution in April 2016.
David oversees the University's comprehensive financial operations, including financial reporting, general and technical accounting, disbursements, procurement, collections, risk management, investment operations, public debt, and treasury functions. He is responsible for managing risk and liquidity, overseeing the University's accounting and financial records, and producing quarterly and annual financial reports. He also ensures the University maintains a robust system of internal controls to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of financial results, and guarantee compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements. In addition, he serves as the lead contact for technical issues affecting the University's financial operations.
Prior to joining Temple, David held positions at Bentley Systems, Crozer-Keystone Health System, and Deloitte & Touche LLP. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University. He currently serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee of the Pinnacle Consortium of Higher Education and is a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
