- Traveler's Health Information: Consult the CDC’s Traveler’s Health information for guidance on vaccinations and recommended pre-travel medications specific to your destination(s).
- Travel Medical Consultation: Schedule a travel medical consultation at least 30 days prior to your departure. For assistance, you can utilize Temple Employee Health Services, Passport Health (a private clinic), or City of Philadelphia Travel Vaccination Clinics to receive necessary vaccinations and health advice.
Safety Measures
- Healix Oracle Country Details Report: Read the full TU Global Assistance Provider’s Healix Oracle Country Details report for your destination(s). You can log in using your TU AccessNet Username and Password for access to critical safety information.
- Healix Oracle App: Download the TU Global Assistance Provider’s Healix Oracle App on your mobile device—available for both Apple/iOS and Google/Android. This app provides real-time alerts and essential information during your travels.
- Notification Alerts: Add your current mobile phone number under the “Settings” section in the Healix Oracle App to receive timely alerts and notifications while abroad.
- Emergency Contact Card: Download the Temple University Emergencies Abroad contact card to your mobile phone and customize it with local emergency contact details specific to your destination(s).
- U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory: Consult the U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory for detailed information and guidance related to your destination(s).
- STEP Enrollment: Enroll your travel in the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive important updates and information while you are abroad.
