Discover Your Now Fully Mobile OWLcard

The OWLcard is Temple University's ID card.  Your OWLcard allows you to do just about everything: access campus buildings, secure banking with your PNC account, buy a meal as part of your university meal plan or at any of the 100+ vendors who partner with Temple's Diamond Dollars program.

Now Available on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android

Temple Students Going Mobile

Temple University is adopting a “Mobile First” strategy regarding the Temple OWLcard.  University students will be expected to download the OWLcard Mobile credential to their Apple or Android device as the primary identification on campus.  Physical OWLcards will be provided as an alternative only when a mobile device is unavailable or there is a university system that does not accept the mobile solution.  Use your mobile device on the Main and Ambler campuses for building access, meal plans, Diamond Dollars, Recreation Services, printing, entry to front doors of residence halls and residential laundry.  (At this time, exceptions include some parking areas and Kronos employee swipes, vending and library borrowing privileges).

New Student Orientation. If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, you must submit a photo electronically as part of your Next Steps process on TUportal. Please read the following instructions about proper photo submission.

If you require a physical OWLcard, you must make an appointment to visit  the OWLcard Office. You will need your TUid# (9 digits beginning with a 9) and a government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc.). visit
