The OWLcard is Temple University's ID card. Your OWLcard allows you to do just about everything: access campus buildings, secure banking with your PNC account, buy a meal as part of your university meal plan or at any of the 100+ vendors who partner with Temple's Diamond Dollars program.
All Temple students are required to carry their OWLcard when on campus. All first-year students generally receive their OWLcard as part of their New Student Orientation visit. If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, we strongly recommend that you submit a photo electronically to save time at Orientation. Please read the following instructions about proper photo submission.
Students who did not receive their ID at orientation can visit the OWLcard Office to obtain their OWLcard. You will need your TUid# (9 digits beginning with a 9) and a government issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID, etc.).
Temple Faculty Staff and Administration
All employees are required to carry their OWLcard and display this official identification to access Temple University facilities. Every OWLcard has the ability to be used as a debit account for Diamond Dollars, all you need to do is make a deposit. Employees can deposit money through cash, check, credit card or payroll deduction form.
